Keema Masala
Keema (keema = mince) Masala is spiced ground beef recipe that’s perfect for midweek dinner. I used beef mince but you could use lamb, mutton or chicken. I serve this dish with roti (unleavened whole wheat bread) which is a staple in any Indian household. This is one of those dishes that you may not find at a restaurant but it’s is pretty common in Indian home cooking.

Ingredients
1 tbsp Ghee
1 lb Ground beef (80/20)
1 Bay leaf (dried)
1 tbsp Cumin seeds
1 Dried red chili
1 cup Diced red onion
2 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
2-3 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
1 tsp Turmeric powder
2 tsp Coriander powder
2 tsp Cumin powder
2 tsp Garam Masala powder
1/4 cup Peas
Chopped cilantro (coriander)
Salt, as needed
1/2 cup Water
