Besan Laddoo

Besan laddoo is a gluten-free Indian dessert that’s made of chickpea flour. The recipe is popular during Indian festivals like Diwali. The ingredients are simple and the recipe is easy to make but the result is incredibly delicious. It’ll definitely wow your friends and family.

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup besan (chickpea flour)

  2. 1/3 cup Ghee

  3. 1/2 cup caster sugar

  4. 1/2 tsp cardamom powder

  5. (Optional) A handful of crushed pistachios

  6. (Optional) Gold leaf for garnish

Tips:

  1. Cook the besan on low heat till it changes color and smells fragrant.

  2. Don’t add too much ghee or the laddoos won’t retain their shape.

  3. Completely cool the besan and ghee mixture before adding the sugar to avoid the sugar from melting.
